Re attached Income Tax papers. I beg to bring to
your notice that the reason I am receiving a Pension from the
Government of HongKong is owing to wounds received in France,
when on active service in the late War.
2. Had I not been wounded. I should have been able
to go back to HongKong, and carry on my duties, as a Police
officer.
But,
as you know, the doctor would not pass me,on
account of my disability.
3. I therefore claim that my HongKong Pension is not
taxable, under Section A (B) of this form. I have been
exempt, up to the present year, on the same account by variou
tax inspectors, to whom I have made my claim.
4. This, Gentlemen, is the first time you have sent me
a form re Income Tax. I should very much like to hear
from you on the matter.
I remain, Gentlemen,
Yours respectfully,
(Sgnd), Albert Pattison.
